Planned Giving
The generosity of donors like you is why we’re able to fund innovative research. Research that contributes to programs that ensure all patients have the same access to quality healthcare. Science and research on Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome are the core of everything the Foundation does, but we couldn’t achieve our goals without the commitment, enthusiasm and knowledge of our supporters.
A gift through your estate plan can benefit you and your loved ones and help save lives. You can enhance your family’s financial well-being while continuing to support a cause that is near and dear to your heart.
Selecting the right charitable estate planning vehicle allows you to reduce your estate and income taxes. It can help you maximize the financial and tax benefits of your gift, and create a larger gift than you thought possible.
Legacy Giving
There are many ways you can leave a legacy gift while providing significant tax benefits for your family and heirs. In addition to an outright, tax-deductible cash gift, there are other ways you can support our mission:
- a bequest in your will or living trust
- a beneficiary designation on a life insurance policy, 401(k) plan, or IRA
- an endowment
- gifts of stock or other assets
- life estate gifts
If you choose to name the LGS Foundation in your will or other estate planning, please include the designation example below:
I give to the Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) Foundation, a tax-exempt corporation, with its principal business office at 6030 Santo Road, Suite 1, Unit 420878, San Diego, CA 92142 (insert written amount of gift, percentage of estate or residuary of estate or description of property) to be used for the mission of the organization.
Tax Identification Number: 26-2051377
If you have named the LGS Foundation in your will or trust, please fill out the intention letter and let us know so we can ensure your gift is used according to your wishes. Notifying us of your plans will enable us to plan for the use of your future gift. However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, we will keep your name and gift in strict confidence.
