Complementary and alternative medicines (CAM) for LGS can be helpful in
controlling seizures and/or the quality of life for individuals with LGS. Some types of
CAM are consistent with the principles of Western medicine, while others are not.
The effectiveness and safety of most complementary and alternative medicines
have not been proven by scientists.
